Sketchbook Social

Picture book maker Sara Rhys will help you get creative with your sketchbook!

Multiple Dates
May 16, 2024

Join us for a Sketchbook Social, an event designed for those looking for a creative outlet in a serene location. This low-pressure and fun afternoon is all about giving yourself some time to be creative with simple materials in a beautiful setting, regardless of skill-level or experience.

Led by Sara Rhys, a seasoned picture book maker and illustrator, this session aims to demystify the artistic process and banish the fear of the blank page. Sara will lead attendees through a series of guided drawing exercises, helping you discover techniques to boost confidence and unleash your creativity.

While Sara will also share insights from their experience in the world of professional illustration and picture book creation, the focus remains on fostering a love for drawing and providing practical tools for personal growth. Questions about the industry or aspirations for professional illustration are warmly welcomed but not required.

Participants are asked to bring their own sketchbooks or paper, along with any preferred drawing utensils.

Time: 1 PM to 2:30 PM

Location: Hugo Burge Foundation Glasshouses, Greenlaw, Duns TD10 6YQ
