A drawing class for ‘all levels’, including beginners and those with a little more experience.

Drawing and sketching is an observational skill as well as a creative process in developing new ways to represent the world. Drawing helps you develop other projects such as painting, printmaking, crafts etc.

The practice can be challenging and good fun, as well as  absorbing and relaxing, encouraging mindfulness and self-confidence.

In this class, we will be exploring techniques such as negative and positive spaces, mark making, tone, shape, form and composition.

We will explore some varied techniques using these exciting drawing materials. There will be a tutor talk and/or demonstration of drawing materials and methods. Student practice - students will have the opportunity to try out methods and share their work There’ll be lots of 1:1 tutor advice.

Subjects will include various aspects of the gardens - foliage, flowers, trees, architecture.

In this class we will be learning to play with acrylic inks in different ways to capture aspects of the garden.
