Come and learn to weave a beautiful and durable rush seat at The Marchmont Workshop. This two day course will cover weaving a rush seat from start to finish, what tools and materials are necessary, as well as information on how and where to source your own rush for future endeavours.
Chasing and Repoussé classes held in the Marchmont Silversmithing Workshop with Katie Watson. Learn the ancient art of hammering decoration into metal with various punches to create your own design. Beginners and all skill levels are welcome!

This summer, as part of Scotland's Garden Scheme, we will be welcoming visitors every Friday from July 4 to August 29 into our Walled Garden and Glasshouses.
Enjoy two days of botanical illustration amongst curated artworks, in the Glasshouses and Walled Garden at the Hugo Burge Foundation. Join Marianne Hazlewood in the fabulous Glasshouses at the Hugo Burge Foundation, in their gorgeous restored contemporary Walled Garden. Together you’ll pick some specimens from the garden and then draw and paint, beginner to intermediate welcome.
This is a chance to sit and observe these wonderful surroundings, draw with project guidance from renowned textile artist Pauline Burbidge, and link with a small intimate group (max 6).
