Join printmakers Georgie Fay and Lee Pheifer for a day of experimenting with light and alternative photography.
11 AM - 3 PM
This class covers more advanced cyanotype techniques, allowing participants to explore the spontaneous and expressive nature of the alternative photographic process. We will learn how to mix the chemicals and coat the paper, beginning with basic examples and moving to more experimental techniques, producing many works of art to take home!
This workshop is perfect for those who have taken part in our beginner class, experienced photography and print enthusiasts, crafters, or anyone looking for a fun, hands-on, and eco-friendly creative activity.
All necessary materials will be provided. However, participants are encouraged to bring any of the following to personalize their prints:Interesting leaves, flowers, or other flat natural objects. Small, flat, or semi-transparent objects that cast interesting shadows (e.g., lace, keys, cut-out paper shapes).
An old shirt or apron, as the chemicals can stain clothes.
Please also bring something for lunch, there is no shop nearby!
