In this two-week class, you will learn the basic principles of electro-etching which is a metalworking process that uses electricity to remove metal from a surface, creating a design for a print. You will work on two metal plates experimenting with different non-toxic methods of etching and then have the chance to print these plates and take home a series of images from your etched plates.
This class is open to everyone but would be a particular advantage if you have some intaglio printmaking experience and are looking to develop your artistic practice.
This is a two week course and your ticket includes admission to both March 6th and March 13th class. All materials will be provided but please bring an apron, some ideas for what you might like your design to look like and a packed lunch.
