A fantastic, magical opportunity for primary school aged children to be get creative and be immersed in the beautiful surroundings of the Walled Garden at The Hugo Burge Foundation on the Marchmont Estate.

Experienced workshop leader and musician, Katie Forbes will host unique song writing workshops, presenting children with opportunities to sing, write lyrics, experiment with different instruments, perform and record their ideas both individually and as a team. Participants will evaluate their progress and actively support the progress of their friends every step of the way.

These engaging and friendly workshops will encourage the study of nature in summer and look at other songs written about fauna and flora.

Katie's workshops are fun and inclusive, involving warm up activities, games and discussions. Children will look at sound capture, design and production along with thinking about how words, sounds and music make us feel.

All children's workshops are safe, nurturing and non-judgmental environments open to all levels.  The final session will be a sharing of work created with family and friends.
