Join artist Tansy Lee Moir in our Walled Garden and Glasshouses to capture the beauty of nature with charcoal.
10.30am - 1.00pm
Glasshouses and walled garden
Charcoal is such a sensitive and immediate drawing medium, but one which can feel challenging to begin with. In this morning workshop, artist Tansy Lee Moir will introduce you to a variety of ways to use it, helping you to draw with confidence.
We’ll be taking our inspiration from the beautiful walled garden in spring. Working outdoors and in the glasshouses, you’ll be encouraged to draw freely in response to your surroundings, working quickly and loosely to make sketches of the plants and borders, structures and details.
All materials will be provided and no experience is necessary - you will be supported and challenged to progress from where you are. Please wear clothing you don’t mind getting dusty.
Max 10 people
If you would like to attend but costs would be a barrier, please contact enquiries@hugoburgefoundation.org for information about funded spots.
