Summer daytime tours of the Glasshouses and Walled Garden with Deputy Head Gardener Marty Ammann
2 PM
We are inviting visitors to join us for a daytime walk through our Walled Garden and Glasshouses. Renovated by Hugo into a verdant retreat, now it acts as creative centre for the Foundation.

While strolling through the serene atmosphere, Deputy Head Gardener Marty Ammann will guide you through the history of the gardens. Marty will also discuss the garden team's plan for the space's future as a part of The Hugo Burge Foundation, and its new role as a source of creativity, inspiration, education and relaxation for residents and visitors alike.
You'll have the chance to explore a wide-variety of lush foliage and vibrant blooms, from flower-rich borders to fruit and vegetable patches.
The garden also boasts some of our most striking artworks, spanning from the 18th century to the present day. From living sculptures to an avenue of colonnades, visitors, whether art enthusiasts or garden lovers, will be captivated by the abundance of beauty on display.
Children under 12 and carers supporting the person they care for are free of charge on the garden tours.
Tea and coffee in the Glasshouses included. Any profits go directly to supporting our charitable objectives.
