Join artist and printmaker Georgie Fay for a relaxed day of printmaking in the new Rhymer's Works Print studio.
These hands-on sessions are open to everyone of all levels and abilities, who want to play, experiment and learn with others. It is like an open studio and welcomes budding artists, or for those wanting to realise a project or technique and just need some space and guidance. Georgie will be there for any technical help and guidance but note this is not a taught class, although there will be support for complete beginners!
To use the studio for your first time you will have to organise an induction, which are 2 hours and cost £20, please email Georgie to arrange this.
Print Club at Rhymer's Works is for participants with some experience of printmaking, if you are a beginner then there will be classes available to book on the website, see www.georgiefay.com. Print Club is the chance to come together and learn how to use the printing press to create your own works of art or develop your ideas and practice. There is potential to try techniques such as; monoprinting, stencil monotype, drypoint, lino/woodcut, cyanotype, etching and collograph.
Basic inks and equipment will be provided, but bring anything specialised including paper and your sketchbook and ideas. There is also a shop available on site to purchase anything you might need/have forgotten. Also wear clothes you don't mind getting inky!
