Join printmakers Georgie Fay and Lee Pheifer for a day of experimenting with light and alternative photography and celebrating the longest day of the year!
10 AM - 1 PM
This class covers more advanced cyanotype techniques, allowing participants to explore the spontaneous and expressive nature of the alternative photographic process. We will learn how to mix the chemicals and coat the paper, beginning with basic examples and moving to more experimental techniques, producing many works of art to celebrate the sun!
This workshop is perfect for beginners, experienced photography and print enthusiasts, crafters, or anyone looking for a fun, hands-on, and eco-friendly creative activity.
All necessary materials will be provided. However, participants are encouraged to bring any of the following to personalize their prints:Interesting leaves, flowers, or other flat natural objects. Small, flat, or semi-transparent objects that cast interesting shadows (e.g., lace, keys, cut-out paper shapes).
If you can then bring an old shirt or apron, as the chemicals can stain clothes.
