Join our resident weaver, Scarlett, in the HBF Common Room for a full day spinning and weaving workshop. In the morning, you will learn how to spin your own yarn using a drop spindle and locally sourced sheep fleece, followed by an afternoon of weaving on aluminium frame looms.
You will have the opportunity to weave with your hand-spun yarns alongside deadstock British mill yarns to create your very own wall hanging to take home. Whether you have done spinning or weaving before or never tired it, everyone is welcome to take part and join in.
Attend for the whole day or choose to take part in either the morning spinning session or the afternoon weaving session at the Hugo Burge Foundation.
Materials will be provided but if you would like to take your spinning or weaving kits home with you, please add them to your cart when purchasing your ticket.
