Join our resident weaver, Scarlett, for our new weaving club. Bring your own table top loom, frame loom or tapestry loom and spend a day weaving at the Hugo Burge Foundation in the Common Room, if you don’t have access to a loom there will be a few small aluminium frame looms to hire.
Every 2 weeks beginning August 5th
£15pp
+ £5 for frame loom hire (per session)
11am - 3pm
8 people max
These weaving sessions are for more experienced weavers, who have access to their own portable looms/are hiring a loom and are wanting to use the space to work on personal projects. There will be access to Scarlett’s warping frame to wind out your own warps if needed but participants will need to bring their own tools and other equipment to weave with.
The sessions will allow you the time and space to create, experiment and learn from others.
Use the space to create a new collection, start a project or simply just weave and make something new for yourself.
Scarlett will be there throughout the day to offer any technical help and guidance but please note this is not a beginners taught class and participants should have a basic understanding of weaving. If you are a beginner and want to learn how to weave there are classes available to book on the Hugo Burge Foundation website.
Materials and yarns are not supplied, please bring your own fibres and choices of yarns.
